Group aims to recall the Governor - Wow!

From Newsday:

The group has started a Web site at www.recallcorzinenow.com where people can download and print recall petitions.

They petitions state, "It is our intention to recall Jon Corzine, Governor of the State of New Jersey."

"The focus here is simple _ this guy is not doing the job and he needs to go," Carl Bergmanson said.

All I can say is....Wow! We will follow these folks as they may be facing an uphill battle but maybe, just maybe this movement will produce a dialogue that will address real problems in this state. Noone thought it was possible in California when Gray Davis was shown the door.

Corzine has failed in the following areas:
1. Cut state workforce by an additional 25%
2. Cut salaries of all state workers - no one in state govt should be earning over $100k
3. Make all healthcare for state workers and retirees contributory as it is in the private sector jobs
4. Elimination of social programs that charities already handle much more efficiently
5. Cut property taxes by 20% and cut state sales tax to 3% to INCREASE state tax revenues

We need to dump Corzine and his cronies. The teachers unions do NOT run this state, the taxpayers do.

Unfortunately, the taxpayers DO NOT run this state. The Governor is just one of many people who are more concerned with the patronage mills than the citizens of NJ. As a matter of fact, the Governor and Legislature will do ANYTHING to avoid having real citizens participate in the process. Remember that Corzine thought with his alleged 70% approval for his stem cell initiative, he would get the public to approve in a landslide. He wasn't paying attention to real voters who have been rejecting spending all over the state for three years. Don't expect him to make the mistake again.
